Weekend roundup!

Happy Sunday all!  So I figured since I was to lazy busy this weekend that I would just do one plus-sized post today.  I kinda like it this way, I may keep it like this for awhile.

Well you've probably figured out since I'm writing again, that I didn't win the Mega Million - I really thought it was going to be my lucky day.
note to self - before I become addicted..
Saturday Workout: 20 min. TurboFire HITT
                               40 min. yoga/stretch

So I was feeling gross Saturday a.m. from eating those grease-bomb fries the night before, so I had to get in just a little cardio.  I love the HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts for that reason.  They are quick, intense and get the job done.  Plus I feel great after them.  Then I did a long stretch which was much needed. One day I'll get better at not making myself feel guilty for eating tasty food....but that's for another day.

After my workout me and this guy I live with the hubs took my mom's dog for a little walk.
say hi Casper!

and dyed Easter eggs for our Easter tree

That night I watched 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'.  It was very good.  I haven't read any of the books, but I really liked the movie - recommend!

Sunday Workout:  Day 1 LiveFit Trainer - Triceps & Chest

Today was the first day of my training program.  This first phase doesnt include cardio to focus stricktly on muscle building.  I'm a believer that unless I work up a good sweat its not a workout, so this will be a challenge to me to cut out a lot of cardio.  But I'm focused on following the plan as it's set.  I hit the weights today and holy shiz did my triceps feel it!  I could barely lift my arms to wash my hair when I was done.  If that's how I'll feel after each workout then these next 12 weeks are going to be awesome!

I did however come to the sad realization that most of my gym clothes have holes in them.  I think since I've been doing my workouts at home for so long I could kind of get away with looking homeless, but I should probably step up my wardrobe game now that I will be seen in public.

So I forced Jake to come and get some new gym swag with me.  Now I just need to work on this issue in my everyday life....

Here's what my weekend eats looked like ( cause I knew you were all on pins and needles!)
Shakeology was consumed - obvi

along with yogurt and cereals and Cuties :)

and we made good use of our grill for dinners

Oh, and just to forewarn you, my training program has me eating ALOT of egg whites, so I apologize in advance, you will be seeing lots of eggs in the next 12 weeks.  Aren't you lucky :)  Happy Sunday friends, hope the weekend was a great one!
